Skip tracing and missing persons are often related investigative scenarios.  Skip tracing generally is seeking to locate person(s) for the purpose of recovering assets, collecting unpaid debts or discovery of hidden assets.  Some of these assets my have been stolen or extorted while other assets have simply been hidden from public view and common knowledge.
